  • What is a Stainless Steel BSP to NPT Adaptor?

    A stainless steel BSP to NPT M&F adaptor is a 316 stainless steel fitting that is designed to adapt BSP female threads to an NPT male thread.

  • How does a BSP to NPT M&F Adaptor work?

    BSP & NPT are two different thread standards (refer to our threads article for a greater explanation) so are not compatible with each other. This becomes a problem when you need to adapt between the two. These adaptors allow this to occur by having a BSP female thread (you will put your BSP male thread into this) at one end and then an NPT male thread at the other.

  • How long will my BSP to NPT Adaptor last?

    These adaptors are machined out of solid 316 stainless steel bar stock so are designed to last a very long time. It will depend upon the environment and media that it is used on however as this will really be the only limiting factor. Being 316 stainless steel they have great corrosion resistance to most media.

  • How do I install a BSP to NPT M&F Adaptor?

    Thread tape will need to be put onto the male threads so in this case it will be your BSP male thread that you will insert into the adaptor and then the NPT male thread at the other end. This will ensure a tight seal.

  • What are typical uses of a BSP to NPT Adaptor?

    A lot of the time it is on machinery from overseas where a different thread standard is used and you need to adapt it to fittings you can find locally. NPT is predominantly from North American machinery and BSP is usually from former commonwealth countries and the UK.

  • How long will my product take to get to me? 

    This depends upon where you are based and the freight method chosen. If the express freight option is selected it is usually next day delivery to metropolitan areas in Australia for under 5kg. If free freight has been selected it will go by road freight which can be anywhere from 1 to 10 days depending upon your location. It usually averages 3 days.

  • What warranty do I get?

    All of our products come standard with a 12 month warranty. The good news is we have very strict quality controls and all valves leave our warehouse tested and inspected so there are rarely any issues.

All valve series and other products manufactured or distributed by Process Systems Pty. Ltd. are warranted by Process Systems to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or as the manufacturer warrants. Process Systems obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defec1ive product or refund of the purchase price paid solely at the discretion of Process Systems and provided such defective product is returned to Process Systems freight prepaid and upon examination by Process Systems such product is found defective. This warranty shall be void in the event that the product has been subject to misuse, misapplication, improper maintenance, modification or tampering. This warranty is expressed in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied from Process Systems Pty. Ltd. representatives or employees.
